Color of the Month | Sherwin Williams Raucous Orange
Hello September! With the kids back at school, and the cooler weather coming in, it’s already starting to feel like fall is here! I couldn’t be happier to feature Sherwin Williams Raucous Orange (SW 6883) as my Color of the Month! Burnt orange, mustard yellows, and browns are the main colors of fall, and it seemed fitting to feature this vibrant and powerful burnt orange paint color. Raucous Orange brings color and warmth into your home. This Sherwin Williams paint color is for adding a playful twist and bold statement! Pair this color with neutral colors to create a feature wall or use it as a bold allover paint color – the possibilities are endless!
Pairs Well With…
Sherwin Williams Nearly Peach (SW 6336) and Sherwin Williams Anchors Aweigh (SW 9179).
We love how this vibrant deep burnt orange color pairs with both neutral paint colors and equally striking ones too.
If you’re after the ever-popular fresh, warm, and inviting interior, then pair Sherwin Williams Raucous Orange with Sherwin Williams Nearly Peach (SW 6336). This will be the perfect combination to create a feature wall in your space while also keeping it warm and fresh. The perfect color combo for bedrooms, bathrooms, or kids’ rooms and play areas!
If you’re seeking a bolder interior color scheme, then use Sherwin Williams Anchors Aweigh (SW 9179). The combination of the bold orange paint color and this warm navy blue shade brings both warmth and energy to any space. This works well for living rooms, dining rooms, and even bedrooms. These are both fun colors to work in sophisticated kids’ bedrooms too!
How to use this color in your home…
Sherwin Williams Raucous Orange is a great paint color to use in your home for either feature walls or a bold allover paint. The vibrancy and energy from the color will bring any space to life and provide a fun and playful take on a bright color. With its dark red and orange hues, the paint color doesn’t appear too intense too often, depending on the light. Watch the color come to life in sunny rooms while a more intimate interior can be achieved in naturally darker rooms.
When using Sherwin Williams Raucous Orange as a feature color, bring accessories into the room so you lead your eye around the whole space, rather than focusing solely on the feature wall. Incorporate monochromatic or neutrally colored patterns to guide the eye around the space!
Alternatively, it’s really easy to incorporate Sherwin Williams Raucous Orange into your interior through accessories, curtains, and rugs without painting anything. As the color is such a vibrant one, it is fantastic to use as the main focal color in the accessories of otherwise neutral spaces.
Sherwin Williams Raucous Orange is of course a classic fall color for use throughout the fall and winter months (No wonder we’re featuring it in September ahead of the season!) It is a great color to blend into your interiors throughout the year too – it’s a classic rich orange that will never go out of style.
