It can be hard when things pile up, but thankfully there are tons of organization options available! When your laundry area is designed well, there is a place for everything, and it makes completing the unending task a little bit easier. Storage can be open shelves or closed cabinetry; it really depends on your budget and what works best for you.

Open shelves are relatively inexpensive and are easy to install. They also make grabbing things you need super quick and easy. Using decorative bins or baskets can help keep smaller items sorted and easy to find. If your budget allows and you would rather hide items completely, you may prefer to utilize wall cabinets above your washer and dryer. Built-in cabinetry can add beauty and value to your laundry room. Either shelves or cabinets can be done in a fun color or finish to add some interest to the space. Use a fun wallpaper behind the shelves or below the cabinets to express your creativity and make laundry a little more fun!

Bonus tip: If you have front-loading units, you can also add a countertop over them to give you an area to fold!
