A Colorful Kids Room may not be the first choice for you. But there are ways of making them feel more premium, without breaking the bank. Don’t believe me? This Shop the Look feature focuses on Colorful Kids Rooms Designs that don’t look out of place with the rest of the home, and I share how to do just that!
How to Recognize a Colorful Kids’ Room
A colorful kids’ room doesn’t have to be bright and in your face! They can be more muted too. A kids’ room should showcase their interests and passions, which more often than not includes their favorite colors! The room could be simple in design, yet has a feature wall in their favorite color, or the bedding is bright and bold.
Kids’ bedroom design became more distinguished a century ago. Before this, only the wealthy would have had space for a designated room for a child. However, in the early 1900s, design became a widely spoken about topic and therefore more accessible.
Nowadays, there are lots of ways kids’ personalities can be translated into their own space. From paint colors, wallpaper patterns, bedding, and accessories, there is something to suit every child’s interests and personality.
A key part of designing spaces for kids is embracing color! Depending on the colors chosen, they can have a positive effect on mood, and help to portray interests and personality.
