How to Recognize a Feminine Bedroom

A feminine bedroom isn’t necessarily what you immediate think this space would look like… They’re not completely decorated in shades of pink, they are typically very grown up spaces that feature lighter shades of colors, have lots of off-white, or cream, and delicate textures. As you can see from the examples above, the spaces feature a wide range of colors but are extremely light and airy rooms.

Fun Facts:

During the 1940s and 1950s, it became very popular that women would start to redecorate the inside of their homes. Some say that the floral patterned wallpaper that emerged during the 60s and 70s was the real start of the interior design sector.

Feminine interior design therefore, is nothing “new” per-se, but it has evolved greatly over the years! Instead of the focus being on pink and floral patterns, feminine rooms are now more muted. They are full of texture, light shades of colors, and feature ornate details.
