A Spring Styled Front Door
A front door area that has been styled for the Spring will typically have many spring related florals. This could be through a front door wreath that features tulips or roses, or it could be a basket full of flowers. Above all, there is an emphasis on new life, fresh florals, and light colors.
Front Door Fun Facts:
Over the last 300 years the front door has evolved tremendously. From Maple and Poplar constructions in 1780-1850, to the 1920s when plywood was introduced to build up layers providing strength and durability. Front doors used to be simple in design, ranging from pure wood to glazed panels, and others.
Nowadays, the sky is the limit when it comes to designing a front door! And while in the 1900s we saw many homeowners taking care of their front yards and porches, styling a front door specifically didn’t become that popular until 1980 and beyond.
