My favorite season of the year is finally here! Christmas is just around the corner, and I couldn’t be more excited to get our house decorated for the festivities. One area that shouldn’t be forgotten when decorating the home this festive season, is the porch!

How to Recognize Holiday Porch Décor
Decorating the outside of our homes this festive season shouldn’t be forgotten. After all, first impressions matter! On a more serious note though, embracing the season and colder weather is a great opportunity to get creative with decorating the outside of our homes. From garlands, wreaths, lanterns, and extra large displays in the front yard, there is something for everyone and every style of home.
Holiday Porch Decor is about creating a wonderful winter wonderland in your outdoor area. If you don’t have a porch, make the most of the pathway or front yard area instead!

Outdoor Christmas decorations started with public displays of lights in retail stores, which became extremely popular in the early 20th Century. This inspired homeowners to create similar displays in their outdoor areas of the home! However only the wealthy could afford this at the time, as electricity wasn’t as affordable back then.
Nowadays, it is commonplace to have Christmas lights outside houses! This inspired many stores to create door wreaths suitable for the outdoors, so wreaths, garlands, and other outdoor Christmas decorations became extremely popular.
