Color of the Month | Benjamin Moore After Midnight
Summer is finally here and we couldn’t be more excited to share our Color of the Month with you! Many homeowners shy away from using darker colors in their homes, and often have no idea where to start! This month, we’re featuring a deep blue color that is almost black: Benjamin Moore After Midnight (CSP-630). It has lots of depth and can be used in a variety of ways throughout the home.
Benjamin Moore After Midnight (CSP-630) is actually classified as an inky-blue black color, that is extremely welcoming and fun to use in any home. You can quickly make a bold statement with this paint color, or pair with neutral colors to guide the eye around the room. This paint color can last for many years in the home when used effectively.
Pairs Well With…
Benjamin Moore Ally’s Earring (SW 7000) and Worn Leather Shoes (SW 9155).
We love how this deep inky-blue black paint colors pairs with warm neutral colors. If you prefer a more monotone look, then pair Benjamin Moore After Midnight with a soft off-white or cream color like Ally’s Earring (CSP-125) to create a warm yet balanced color palette.
If you’re looking to create a bold color palette, then use Benjamin Moore Worn Leather Shoes (CSP-135) to create a confident color scheme. These two colors work well together when used through accessories to create contrast with a feature wall. This works well for living rooms, dining rooms, and even kids’ playrooms and bedrooms!
These are both great paint colors to use alongside After Midnight throughout the home!

How to use this color in your home…
Benjamin Moore After Midnight is the perfect paint color to create a feature wall or as a bold all-over wall paint. While the color is on the dark side, it is a fun color that will work well as a feature color or pop in accessories to lead your eye around the space. This color works well in both light and dark rooms – watch the color come to life in sunny rooms while a more intimate interior can be achieved in naturally darker rooms.
Use After Midnight as a fun and bold bathroom vanity or kitchen cabinet color! We love the dark and moody ambiance it creates.
Alternatively, it’s really easy to incorporate Benjamin Moore After Midnight into your interiors through accessories, curtains, and rugs. As this is a true color, it is fantastic to use in neutral spaces as an accent color or in accessories with the “pairs well with” colors above!
