Color of the Month | Sherwin Williams Coral Reef
We have an Alexa device on our kitchen counter and it always shows a slide show of photos from the past. I especially love seeing the photos from our trip to Venice. It was such a wonderful vacation, and there are countless photos showing my husband and I in an embrace – you can see the love we share. When I sat down to select a color for this month, I was thinking about Valentine’s Day – and how so many people think of February as the month of love.
This month we’re featuring Sherwin-Williams Coral Reef – SW6606, a beautiful pink similar to the buildings along the canals in Venice.
Pairs Well With…
Sherwin Williams Glittery Yellow (SW7125) and Sherwin Williams Parakeet (SW6711).
We love how the bright Coral Reef (SW6606) color pairs well with a neutral like Sherwin Williams Glittery Yellow (SW7125). Pairing this color with neutrals allows a feature wall to bring the space to life! Or simply use it through home accessories to add a pop of color to your space. Use Coral Reef as a feature wall in dining rooms, bedrooms or living rooms.
Sherwin Williams Parakeet (SW6711) is the perfect contrasting bold color that works perfectly with Coral Reef. This combination works particularly well in bathrooms, playrooms and kids’ bedrooms. The bright colors help to uplift the mood and energy of those using the space, and is fantastic at sparking creativity!
How to use this color in your home…
Sherwin Williams Coral Reef is perfect for either feature walls or bold allover wall paint. With its warm undertones, this color will provide a warming energy to your space! This color works well in both light and dark rooms – watch the color really come to life in sunny rooms while a deeper color can be achieved in naturally darker rooms.
Use this color as a feature wall within a living area of your home and compliment this with accessories to lead your eye around the space. If you have a relatively neutral living area, consider a bold statement armchair upholstered in coral colored fabric!
Alternatively, it’s really easy to incorporate Sherwin Williams Coral Reef into your interior design through accessories, curtains, and rugs. As the color is such a vibrant one, it is fantastic to use as the main focal color to otherwise neutral spaces (by pairing with Sherwin Williams Glittery Yellow).
Coral Reef makes a beautiful accent color to bathrooms because it’s uplifting! You can bring this color into the bathroom through towels, waste baskets, bathroom accessories and wall decor.
For the kitchen, incorporate this color of the month through dish towels, window treatments and artificial flowers for the window to dress the space.
