Sherwin Williams Forever Green paint color

Color of the Month | Sherwin Williams Santorini Blue

We are well into summer and the warm weather has taken hold here in Chicagoland. This month we wanted to select a fun paint color encompassing summer and beautiful European travel destinations. That’s why this month we’re featuring a wonderful rich mid-tone blue color: Sherwin Williams Santorini Blue SW 7607! It has plenty of depth and is truly reminiscent of the blue waters found in Santorini.

Sherwin Williams Santorini Blue SW 7607 is a beautiful blue paint color that is a welcoming and comforting paint color to use in any home. You can quickly make a bold statement with this paint color, or pair with neutral colors to guide the eye around the room. This paint color can last for many years in the home when used effectively too. We love it!

Pairs Well With…

Sherwin Williams Soar (SW 6799) and Coral Reef (SW 6606).

We love how this rich blue-turquoise paint color pairs with lighter shades of blue – this really makes Santorini Blue pop! While if you prefer a more muted look in your home, pair Santorini Blue with shades of cream, beige and warm browns and blacks.

If you’re looking to create a bold color palette, then use Sherwin Williams Coral Reef (SW 6606) to create a confident color scheme. These two colors work well together when used through accessories to create contrast with a feature wall.

These are both great paint colors to use alongside Santorini Blue throughout the home!

How to use this color in your home…

Sherwin Williams Santorini Blue is the perfect paint color to create a bold feature wall or as a vibrant all-over wall paint. While the color is on the brighter side, it is a fun color that will work well as a pop in accessories to lead your eye around the space. This color works well in both light and dark rooms – watch the color come to life in sunny rooms while a more intimate interior can be achieved in naturally darker rooms.

We love to use Santorini Blue as the base for furniture arrangements as sofas look fabulous in shades of blue, or use it as a feature color for an accent chair! You could also use this paint color as a fun and bold bathroom vanity or kitchen cabinet color!

Alternatively, it’s really easy to incorporate Sherwin Williams Santorini Blue into your interiors through accessories, curtains, and rugs. As this is a true color, it is fantastic to use in neutral spaces as an accent color or in accessories with the “pairs well with” colors above!

Or, why not consider using Santorini Blue as your front door color?
