Color of the Month | Sherwin Williams Delft
The kids are back to school and the weather is turning to Fall. With this seasonal shift and change with new routines, we wanted to choose a paint color that embodies calm and tranquility. That’s why we’re featuring a stunning light blue color this month: Sherwin Williams Delft SW 9134! It has plenty of depth and can be used almost anywhere in the home too.
Sherwin Williams Delft SW 9134 is a versatile and multi-faceted light blue paint color that can be trusted by homeowners. The color itself has undertones of slate gray and green that means this color is perfect for using with both cool and warm colors. This paint color can last for many years in the home when used effectively!
Pairs Well With…
Sherwin Williams Gossamer Veil (SW 9165) and Anchors Aweigh (SW 9179).
We love how this light blue paint color pairs with a deep neutral tone like Gossamer Veil (SW 9165)! Pair this with beige, cream, warm browns, and even blacks to create a dynamic neutral color palette.
If you’re looking to create a bolder color palette, then use Sherwin Williams Anchors Aweigh (SW 9179) to create a confident color scheme. These two colors work well together when used through accessories to create contrast with a feature wall.
These are both great paint colors to use alongside Delft throughout the home!
How to use this color in your home…
Sherwin Williams Delft is the perfect paint color for use anywhere in the home. Do you need to create a relaxing guest bedroom? Use Delft on all four walls. You can also use Delft in kitchens, bathrooms, or any other room that needs a little facelift and added feelings of calm. Make sure to use a crisp white paint color on the ceilings, and trim work to really make the color come to life.
We love to use Delft in bathrooms as the main wall color as it works beautifully with many tile colors and textures. Then we add color to the space through towels and decorative accessories. You can use this same design principle in other rooms of the home too. Accessories are a great way of pulling different colors together in a space.
Alternatively, if you’re looking for a kitchen cabinet color or bathroom vanity color, then Delft should be on your shortlist! This paint color works extremely well in south-facing rooms where the natural light can counteract the cool undertones.
