Scandinavian Interior Design Style

You like things to feel uncomplicated. Simplicity is your jam but that doesn’t mean you don’t have layers to your personality. You are probably expertly skilled in a few areas. You like your home to feel warm and cozy but also straight forward in design. You probably appreciate nature and it’s forms and have a well-maintained garden. You like color but tend to stick to neutrals. You love both the modern and the vintage. You like simple lines and are drawn to mid-century modern design. Work and home life balance are one of your top priorities.

Design-wise, you may have trouble figuring out how to have a design that has elements you like without it feeling too cluttered. You generally play it safe with design, but are growing bored with your tan walls. You want order without losing that warm and homey feeling. You may feel a little lost when it comes to balancing these things.

Fun Facts:

The Scandinavian interior design style originates from the five Nordic countries in Northern Europe (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden) during the 1930s. This flourished through to the 1950s when it then started to make its way through the United States and Canada. Scandinavian interior design is extremely popular as it takes influences from their functional and simplistic lifestyle, and therefore translates to being characterized by minimalism, simplicity, and functionality.
