Subway tiles are generally easier than some other shapes to install, but if in doubt always seek a professional tile installer to help! Should you be planning to install the subway tiles in a herringbone pattern, this will be less stressful with an experienced tile installer to help. If you’re using subway mosaics you may find this easier to install, as they normally come with a mesh backing to keep them in place when installing.

Grouting can be a challenging subject when choosing new tiles for your home. While it may be tempting to choose a contrasting grout color, we recommend playing it safe and matching the tile color to the grout, especially for DIY projects. 

Depending on the finish, pattern, and color of the tile, it could go out of trend quicker than the shape of the tile itself. Therefore it’s important to absolutely love the tile you’re using! That way changing trends won’t matter.
