Interior design trends in 2023 are all about embracing warmer and Earthy colors in the home. Finding the perfect warm gray paint color can seem like an impossible task! Especially with the variety in the market between brands, not to mention undertones too. It’s a minefield!

I’ve got you covered.

Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter (HC-172) is one of my tried and tested paint colors that works in almost every home! Revere Pewter is a beautiful warm gray paint color with lots of depth. It’s a great choice for homeowners looking to embrace warmer tones, and many interior designers are selecting this because of the wide range of colors it pairs well with.

While Revere Pewter is a warm gray paint color, it appears more of a “greige” paint because of the way it can look more on the beige side too. In darker rooms, the paint color appears greener, while in lighter environments it will look more like a neutral, warm gray.

The versatility of this paint color is what many homeowners and interior designers love about it!

Let’s take a closer look at Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter (HC-172) and discuss how and where you can use this in your own home!

Why We Love Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter!

It’s important as an interior designer to keep a log of paint colors that are tried and tested so I am prepared for future projects. Warm paint colors are super popular at the moment, and will be for some time because of how well they help to create a timeless interior. Many of my clients strive for a timeless home, and that’s exactly why Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter falls under this category! It’s a classic that will never go out of style, pushing from grey into greige and evoking warmth.

Revere Pewter is a paint color I love to keep up my sleeve because of how versatile it is! It looks sophisticated even when paired with a variety of other colors, giving it an edge above others.

How to Use Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter at Home

Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter is the perfect paint color to use for allover wall paint. Use this paint color in rooms that are naturally darker to create a cozy and intimate feel, while in brighter rooms it will look more like a warm gray.

As this paint color is a neutral one, it is great to use throughout the home. Whether you need a fresh look in your living room, family room, dining room, foyer, or bedrooms – Revere Pewter should be on your shortlist! This paint color provides a great base color from which to build an interior design scheme from.

This paint color is also a good option for smaller spaces too! Depending on the overall feel you are trying to create, this is ideal for creating an intimate and warm feeling space.

Accent Color Pairings

Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter can be paired with many other colors! And while it can be used as a warm neutral color, this means it can be paired with more vibrant colors too.

To really make this color pop and come alive, pair it with Benjamin Moore Seapearl as the complimentary color for this greige paint color. It also creates a space that is sophisticated and premium.

Revere Pewter also works well with colors like blue and purple as they are calming and complementary. When these colors are deep and rich, they create a well balanced interior.

With all the above suggested paint colors, they can be used as all-over paint or to create a feature wall within living spaces. Either way, always make sure the tone of colors you use complements the rest of your home so all spaces feel cohesive with each other.

Aside from these paint color pairings, Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter can be paired with many other colors! It is such a versatile neutral warm gray color that it’s easy to pair this paint color with others. Use brighter colors to create a feature wall and use Revere Pewter as a neutral color for the other walls. Alternatively, use this paint color for an all-over wall color.

If bright colors aren’t your thing, pair Revere Pewter with more muted and rich tones, such as navy blue or plum purple.

What To Watch Out For

Similarly with any other paint color you choose for your home, there are some considerations to take into account before using Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter!

It’s really important to firstly understand which rooms in your home are naturally darker or lighter than others. This will give you a good indication as to how Revere Pewter will appear. If you are trying to create a light and bright space in a room that is naturally dark, or north facing, this paint color is unlikely to give you the result you’re looking for.
